Sue is a Chartered Member of the CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) having gained her Post Graduate Diploma in HR Management at the University of Northumbria. She has over 20 years' experience dealing with all aspects of HR activity, including employment law and legislation, recruitment, selection, retention and exits, policy implementation and management, employee relations, managing change, performance management (including absence, compensation and benefits), training and development and competency frameworks.
Her sector experience has been gained in small, medium and large enterprises including not for profit, private, engineering, construction, education and training. She has many clients located within Cumbria and throughout the UK. She has experience of Investors in People and Matrix accreditations, BSi and ALI/Ofsted Inspections.
Sue is also Thomas International Trained - Psychometric and Aptitude Testing - to an Advanced Level and holds an A1 assessor award enabling her to assess against Business Admin, Management and Personnel.
Outside her professional life Sue is very active in a voluntary and fundraising capacity. She is a Volunteer Case Worker for the Royal British Legion and a Poppy Appeal Team Leader. She is often seen running in pink for Cancer Research and was a top fundraiser for them in 2016. Her person-centred approach to her charitable and voluntary work is echoed in her approach with her HR clients.
